Tom YoritakaTom Yoritaka is a venture capital investor, a non-executive director for startups, and the former Global Managing Director of Cisco Entrepreneurs in Residence (Cisco EIR), the company’s corporate venturing group for early-stage companies. As the global head of Cisco EIR, he worked with startups and scaleups innovating in the Internet of Things, AI/Deep Learning/Big Data, Cloud, Enterprise Mobility, Security & Blockchain. Cisco EIR provided startups and scaleups with opportunities to build strategic relationships with Cisco Business Units and executives, co-working space, software, financial support & potential strategic investments from Cisco. He was previously the Senior Director and General Manager of Social Solutions & Platforms, building and managing Cisco’s Web software products designed to advance social interactions, knowledge management, and collaboration for Cisco customers and partners.

Prior to joining Cisco, Tom held various executive and leadership positions at Yahoo! and Microsoft. He also worked as a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and McKenna Group. He holds a master’s degree from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, an MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics, statistics, and economics with honors from Northwestern University.
