Challenge Details

Department of Police Accountability (DPA) is mandated to investigate all officer-involved shootings (OIS) in San Francisco. DPA investigators are often deployed to the scene of the incident without tools to support mobile incident reporting.

DPA wants to be able to interview personnel and witnesses at the scene of the incident, take photos and video, and have the data sync via API with DPA’s new case management system, which is still in development.

What would success look like: A mobile application with the ability to perform incident investigations in real-time on-scene or in the field that will enable the teams to access the data in an encrypted and secure format.
